Tin alloys include bronze, the alloy of copper and tin, the use of which goes back to antiquity. Tin is also used in some brass compositions. But a useful variety of tin alloys are based on the tin–copper–antimony system. These include the Babbitt alloys that are used for bearings and tin die casting alloys.
